In reading Mark 4 I see the disciples lacking trust in Jesus' care for them (and maybe doubting his power) in the midst of the storm:
I'm reading a book called "Anything" by Jennie Allen. She's the founder of IF:Gathering, the event happening next weekend, Feb 3&4th, for ladies of all ages. If you're a lady I hope you check it out by clicking here. If you're a guy, I hope you encourage a female in your life to consider going, it will uplift, encourage, inspire them in their walk with Jesus!
Jennie describes the journey of trusting God fully, of telling God you will surrender and do "ANYTHING," and I see how it is true in my life, and how it's true in the lives of the disciples. As we walk with Jesus, as we promise to do "anything" for God, his power, his trustworthiness, and his love are proved true over and over again. As He becomes bigger our problems shrink, our chains break, the sin and burdens in our lives are lifted.
May we look to God in the midst of the storms of our lives. And may we live out our belief that He is trustworthy!
