Mark 2:17 - Jesus came for me

15While Jesus was having dinner at Leviʼs house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. 16When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
17On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Jesus came for me. Without Jesus I am sick, wounded, captive, hurt, damaged, bound.

Because of Jesus, because of God's mercy and grace and power, I am healed, comforted, set free, safe, whole, complete.

I go to Jesus again and again with my hurts, habits, and hangups to be healed, changed, and loved.

I see the change in my life that comes from walking with Jesus. I love how Christine Caine talks of the change in hers..

"Over time I grew from a person with a wounded heart to one who began to have a capacity to help others. After all, only free people can truly free people…" -Christine Caine

Jesus came to do a great work in us. Will we accept that we are sick and in need? Will we walk with Jesus OR will we let out pride stand in the way and insist that we can find freedom and healing on our own?

I choose Jesus.
